This has not been edited and may certainly change before publication. I hope that you all enjoy a little of Bentley!
One eye barely open, I glanced around the room, desperate for it to stop spinning. There’s a faint moan beside me, and when I carefully turned my head towards it, I saw brunette hair splayed across the pillow and down the back of a naked chick. My eyes slowly move down to the small of her back—my favorite part of a woman’s body.
I stopped when I recognized the Celtic tattoo and quickly lifted the sheet to see if I had my briefs on, I did. I slowly sat up to look for any evidence of last night’s shit show. No condom…no wrapper, thank God.  Lube and a vibrator? What the hell?
“What are you doing?” giggled Amanda as her cold claws rubbed my back. I tried to straighten out of her grip. “Baby relax, let’s finish what we started last night,” She whispered in my ear before kissing the side of my neck.
“Did we?”
“No, you passed out before the party really got started. I had to use my vibrator to finish the job.”
“Uh, sorry about that.” I pulled her hands off me.
“Why don’t you make it up to me, Bentley? Like the good ol’ days, back in high school. I miss this.” she growled, grabbing my dick.
I shot out of the bed and scrambled for my pants.
“Where are you going?” Amanda grabbed my shirt and threw it over herself.
“I...ah…I need to go.” I stuttered, trying to put my shoes on without falling flat on my face.
“Bentley.” Amanda whined, throwing my shirt at me.
Bang-Bang-Bang, “Bentley get your ass up. We gotta go.” Curtis yelled.
“Thank Christ.” I mumbled under my breath as I pulled my shirt over my head.
“That’s it? You’re going to leave me like this, wet and wanting you? Needing you to fill me?” moaned Amanda.
“Sorry, Amanda, but I gotta go. Curtis and I already made plans.”  I opened the door and looked at my best friend.
“Bentley Knight before you walk out that door, you better think long and hard. There will not be a third time.”
“There shouldn’t have been a second,” I toss over my shoulder and ducked just in time to miss a glass as it shattered on the wall in front of me. I closed the door and looked over to Curtis, laughing his ass off. “Let’s get the fuck out of here.”

Banded Together by Hilary Storm ~ Release Day Blitz!!

You've asked for them, some have even begged for more of the Walker twins. 'Banded Together' is a continuation of the Rebel Walking Series that will give you insight on Talon and Eaven's wedding as well as the rest of the characters in the series. Taron and Ivy are not left out of this one and you'll quickly see the banter between them remains.

The previous books in the Rebel Walking Series should be read before this one for the best experience and optimal character development.

"Hey, baby, I can't wait ‘til you're officially Mrs. Walker." His deep whisper pulls me out of my almost asleep state. I roll over to face him and even though it's dark, I watch his face. Nose to Nose. "I'm already yours. You know this." So much has happened since he proposed. We were going to wait another year, but Talon is ready to make it official. I love his urgency—I'm ready, too—but I don’t want to rush it with everything that’s going on with the band and the trial. Rebel Walking lost their spot on the tour when Taron was arrested. We've spent the last five months, either in court or in limbo, waiting for something to happen. A few months ago Taron was released from all charges, but the Walker's haven't rested while the trial for Dylan has been on going. Luckily, this morning he was found guilty on multiple counts of attempted rape, attempted murder and countless other offenses. He will be spending many years in prison, which is where he belongs. The instant relief when the verdict was read was so peaceful. We should be celebrating, but everyone is too exhausted to do anything today.

"I know, but I want the world to know."

"They do. Are you kidding me? We're always together."

"We could just do something small at the lake house. We could walk down to the beach and get married next to the water—just have our family and the crew there to share it with us. Avery can be the flower girl. I’d have Taron, Holden, and Luke on my side and of course you’d have Ivy, Lilly, and Macy on yours."

"You have this all planned out, don't you?" I sit up in bed and begin to think of all the stuff I'll need to do to pull this off.

"All of the important stuff, I do." He rolls onto his back, pulling my hands toward him. "Come here, baby."

I work my way into a straddle on top of the man who holds my whole heart. "We're not going to stress over this. Let's just keep it simple." I let his words soak in. I can't wait to be Mrs. Talon Walker and it really isn't my style to have a huge wedding, anyway. I figured he would've wanted one, but I'm relieved he doesn't. "Simple. I like it." His hands begin to roam over my body and I take the opportunity to rotate my hips just right so that he feels my warmth. Sleeping naked has its benefits.

"You wicked, wicked woman. Don't you dare tease me." His fingers pinch my nipples as he thrusts upward, reminding me what he's packing. His erection moves right where I want it to. "Oh, I'm not teasing." My breathy voice amuses him. "What's so funny?" This time it's my impatience that's obvious. "You're always so ready for me. You never disappoint."

"Damn straight. Have you ever seen yourself?" I lower my mouth to his chest and begin nibbling over his chest and neck. His hands continue to roam over my body, sending chills in every direction. My hair falls over my face and he uses his hand to swipe it to one side. I feel his hand leave me and his body stretch toward the nightstand right before he flicks on the light. He loves to watch me during sex. It strikes me to the depths of my soul when he does this. His stare pierces straight through my body the entire time. It's raw and so real, but I love it.

I lift my torso back up and watch him tuck his arms beside his head. My fingers run over and through the ridges of his defined stomach. He works hard to stay sculpted and I never miss the opportunity to truly appreciate his efforts.

My fingers follow the muscles straight to where our hips meet. I slowly lift my hips and enjoy that his shaft lifts to the exact spot I need it to be. Sliding down onto him, I close my eyes and love the feeling of him filling me completely. With my hands splayed across his abs, I begin to move slowly.

My focus on how he feels is consuming me. I open my eyes to watch him, not surprised when I find him staring deep into my eyes. Keeping my eyes locked with his, I continue my motions. He allows me to move completely on my own; I love when he gives me control.

Because of Ellison by M.S. Willis ~ Excerpt!

When I was nineteen years old, I lived for sex, drugs and a good party. I had it all - good looks, a fast car and a hot girlfriend. Nothing in life was more important.

That was, until I met Ellison James….

Since the moment I first saw her she was a raging bull; tackling me in the mud and throwing out insults as fast as her tongue could form the sound.

She was snarky
She was rude
And she pissed me off like no other woman could.

I lived beside her for a summer and in the three months that I walked by her side...

She opened my eyes
She changed my life
And she made me a better man

Excerpt #1:

“Why do you keep chasing after me, Hunter?” I could tell how raw her throat must have been by the scratch in her voice. I was thrown off by her question and it took me a minute to formulate a response.

I didn’t answer her immediately because I felt like everything, all the times we’d spent together, all the smiles we’d shared and the tears that had fallen, and all the years I wanted to share those types of moments with her in the future hinged on my response. Why did I keep chasing after her? To most, she was just another girl in small town who was struggling like the rest of us in an attempt to find a place where she belonged in this world. Most of those people weren’t lucky enough to know her like I’d known her – they hadn’t talked to her, hadn’t been shown the depths that existed within her. Much like the moon and stars that hung above us tonight, Ellison was a light that wasn’t easily contained. She burned bright enough to break through the dense fog I’d walked in my entire life. Because of her, I’d opened my eyes when I hadn’t even been aware they’d been closed – and for that, I’d chase her forever.

Clearing my throat, I reached up and pulled her hand from my cheek when I turned to look her in the eyes.

Speaking quietly, I confessed, “Because you are a dream and someone once told me that if I had a dream, I should chase it.” It was a simple explanation, but somehow I knew Ellison would understand the honest weight of what I’d said.

Her eyes blinked slowly as she studied my face and as usual, she did something unexpected. She laughed. The corners of my lips turned up when I tried to suppress my grin. Her laughter sounded fragile, as if something so tiny could come along and break it apart - but it was there and my heart raced against my chest to hear it.

“That is probably the strangest thing I’ve heard you say yet.”

Excerpt #2:

Those must have been fighting words, because the next thing she did was slam her hands against me with such force it almost knocked the air out of my chest. I tried to hold on, but when she took both my nipples between her fingers and twisted, I released her in response to the pain.

“Fuck! Ellison, that shit hurt!”

“I know it did, that’s why I did it. And you can expect that reaction from me every time you think you’re going to overpower and force me to stay still when I don’t want to!”
“Well, then fine!” I shoved my chest out at her and held my arms out to my sides. “Go ahead and rip them off then, El, because you can expect that I’m going to hold you every day until you stop breathing!”

She looked at me like I was nuts. Her voice was a whisper when she asked, “Why can’t you just go home?”

We stood staring at each other for a few seconds. It was eerily quiet where we stood, almost as if the birds and bugs had stopped to watch, curious to find out what would happen between us.

We locked eyes and I walked up to her. Grabbing her by her chin, I tilted her angry face up in my direction and held on when she tried to pull away.

“I am home. Why can’t you just accept it?”

My Review:

*5 Stars AND THEN SOME!!!*

I absolutely loved Because of Ellison. True to form, M.S. Willis wrote a prologue that hooked me from the very beginning. If there were an award for best prologues ever written she would win it, hands down.

"Her name was Ellison James...and she was the biggest bitch I'd ever met in my life."

Because of Ellison is so different from any of the other books I've read by M.S. Willis, and I've read a fair few. She really stepped out of her comfort zone when she wrote this one and I applaud her for that because it shows that when you're a great writer, you can write anything and people will not only want to read it but they will actually enjoy it, no matter what genre it fits in to.

This book was beautifully written. It reminded me of a modern day "The Notebook". I didn't want to put it down but I forced myself to just so I could prolong it ending. The characters are well written and extremely likeable. From Henry James to Tiffany and all of them in between. Also, be prepared for a feelings fest. Know what I mean? There is a wide range of emotion playing out with every turn of the page. You will laugh, cry, and want to throat punch something in rapid succession. And last but certainly not least, the ending was epic. You couldn't ask for more than what this book delivers. There are no stones left unturned in Because of Ellison. With all of the series floating around these days, I thought it was nice to have everything wrapped up in a nice, neat package at the end.

M.S. Willis has made a fan of me quickly and completely. She could write the phone book and I would read it! Because of Ellison was a thoroughly satisfying, heart-breaking, hope inspiring, life lesson learning novel that I will read again and again.

Grimnirs by Ednah Walters ~ Spotlight, Review, AND Giveaway!!

Series: A Runes Novel
Author: Ednah Walters
Release Date: December 2nd 2013
Genre: YA Paranormal Romance
Publisher: Firetrail Publishing
Presented by: As You Wish Tours

One lost love.

One lost best friend.

One hot soul reaper.

Straight out of the psyche ward, Cora just wants her life to be normal. She doesn’t want to see souls or the reapers collecting them. The love of her life, the guy she’s loved from a distance for years, has moved away without saying goodbye. So yes, she’s nursing a serious heartbreak. It’s no wonder love is the last thing on her mind when Echo storms into her life.

The chemistry between them is mind-blowing. The connection defies logic. It doesn’t help that Echo is the poster boy for everything she hates in a guy—hot, beautiful, and cocky. A general pain-in-the-butt. Being around him makes her feel more alive than she’s ever felt before. But more important, the souls leave her alone when he is around.

Echo is perfect for her. Echo might even be her soul-mate. There is only one problem. Echo is a freaking soul reaper. A Grimnir. The very beings she wants out of her life. Maybe normal is overrated because Cora wants it all. Answers. Love. A life. You see, once you fall for a Grimnir, your life will never be the same again.

My Review:
* Bookends received a free eCopy of "Grimnirs" in exchange for an honest review *

Loved! This was a very cool book. It was fun and sexy and full of action and secrets and adventure and hotness.
I'll admit, I was a little confused in the beginning with trying to keep track of who was who and all of the different relationships and titles but I chalk that up to the fact that I didn't know this book was part of a series and therefore read it out of order. Once we got through the introductions and the story started to pick up, which really didn't take long, I was totally hooked and couldn't put it down.
I loved the way the entire book was steeped in so much mystery that I found myself mistrustful of EVERYONE. I had no idea what was going to happen next. The story was so unpredictable and I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, so to speak. I really enjoyed the storyline and how it ended. I'd love to read more about Cora and Echo.
Speaking of Echo, *sigh* <3
Echo is pure literary perfection. The other characters were great too, all of them actually, but if you were to read this book just for Echo you wouldn't be disappointed. He's a funny, sexy, kind, protective, badass...and everything you could ask for in a perfect book boyfriend.
Grimnirs was my first foray into this series. My first introduction to this author actually. But it will definitly not be my last. Great storyline, great characters, great book! Read It!

“Really? What were you doing about twenty minutes ago? And don’t tell me you were thinking, I know what your ‘thinking’ face is. Besides, we’re leaving Saturday, and we are staying at the hotel until then so it’s not like I am going to get a chance at him anyway. I was just commenting on how cute he is.” Illana folded her arms over her chest and stuck her chin out at Sydney. “At least I’m honest about it, unlike some people.”
“What do you want me to say?” Sydney threw her arms up in frustration. “Yes, I think Zeke is hot, like burn-me-at-the-stake kind of hot. The man brought me a perfect cup of coffee while I was sleeping. Who does that? I almost spilled my coffee this afternoon when Betty told me he called her to find out how I like my coffee. So, yeah, I want him. How could I not? I mean, the only thing that would make him sexier is a gold-hoop earring! My heart does jumping jacks whenever he walks into the room,” At Illana’s wide-eyed look, Sydney said, “and he’s standing right behind me, isn’t he?”
“Yeah, but don’t stop now, especially if you’re going to do jumping jacks,” Zeke said, leaning against the door jam and wearing a very satisfied grin.

Illana walked quickly into her room and grabbed her black clutch purse, opening it to drop her cell phone in it. She checked her hair, red tipped today, and makeup one last time in the mirror above the dresser and then walked out the door, pulling it shut quietly so as not to wake the other houseguest. Turning around, she ran smack into his chest.
“Ow, hi, I didn’t hear you get up. Did we wake you?” she asked, her face turning pink as she looked at Tyler.
“No, I’ve been up for hours actually,” Tyler said, crossing his arms and leaning against the wall. “Just so you know, my heart has already been spoken for. But if it wasn’t, you’d be very fun to chase…and catch.”
Illana felt a pang of disappointment, and a wave of relief. “Ha, like you’d catch me to begin with. I never date men who are prettier than me.”

“Stop yelling, I’m awake, for goodness sake,” Diana said, pulling her fancy new earbuds out of her ears.
Illana sat down, one hand on her chest. “You usually hear the door open, your face was so peaceful, I thought…”
Diana put a hand on Illana’s knee. “I know what you thought, and it is coming. I hope you don’t do that when I do go. When I go home, there won’t be any more pain. You must be brave, my girl, you must. There are so many things I want to say, do, see with you. I want to dance, I want to sing more songs, but we are running out of time. I want to say I love you a thousand more times, so much so it will soak into your skin and stain it. So you will have it forever.”

Twelve Houses by Olga Soaje is a remarkable novel of life and death and love and loss so intricately and wonderfully woven together.

The first chapter of this book is so incredibly sad. Amelia has lost her husband, Nathan, the love of her life. She doesn't know how she can possibly go on without him and furthermore, she doesn't want to. In Twelve Houses we follow Amelia on her journey to find a balance, a routine, a reason in her new life. She has to learn to live life without Nathan and to forgive him for making her do so. But more importantly she has to learn to forgive herself for wanting to.

I loved this book. It's so easy to find yourself connecting to the characters and story. I've never experienced a loss like Amelia's but I have experienced great love and I felt so many emotions with her every step of the way. This is a novel for the masses. There is something in it for everyone to relate to and that's part of what makes it so great. Do you have or have you had a great love? So did Amelia. Have you experienced a heart breaking, life changing loss? So did Amelia. Do you struggle to connect with your kids? Live with regrets? Have amazing friends? So does Amelia.

Twelve Houses was a beautifully written, moving novel full of friendships and choices and love and life. This author has an amazing talent for storytelling. I will recommend this book to everyone I know and I look forward to reading more by Olga Soaje.

About The Author:

In my novel Twelve Houses, I tell the story of a widow who discovers that her life story is far from over. Amelia is a brave woman who struggles to find her true place in the world and at the same time to create a life that holds spiritual meaning and purpose. Though my first book, Borrowing My Mother’s Saints, was a comedy set in New York, I think both books describe a similar spiritual journey. I always consider the spiritual aspects of a character’s story as I write.
I love to hear from my readers.

“The only thing you kids need to know is to protect the family,” Asan Kiverson said. His gaze bore into each of his children.

Kevin, the eldest, returned his gaze steadily.

Angela, the middle child, nodded hesitantly, so Asan gave her a reassuring smile.

His smile faded when he looked at his youngest child. “What’s the matter, Benjamin? Don’t you believe me?”

“Yes, Papa,” the boy murmured.

“That’s my boy. You can choose your own path, but always remember the family protects its own. One day, perhaps you kids will be called upon to protect the family.”

About the Author
Julie mainly confines her writing to three genres: Christian inspirational, YA real-world science fiction, and normal science fiction.

She likes teaching, writing, reading, sleeping, doing puzzles, and hanging out with friends. (Not necessarily in that order)

Writing has made her super picky about the things she reads but normally, her reading list includes something that fits under the thriller, mystery, science fiction, or fantasy.

Occasionally, she attempts short poetry. The poems turn into songs, which she sings with abandon when nobody's looking.
